Washington, D.C.

The Enrique V. Iglesias Conference Center in Washington, D.C., operated by the Inter-American Development Bank, serves as a high-profile international meeting venue supporting global policy discussions, executive conferences, and multilingual diplomatic events.
Ford AV delivered a comprehensive audiovisual systems integration across a multi-level conference facility and a three-story auditorium. The project included a full renovation of existing conference spaces and a major technology upgrade to the main theater. The upgrades created a unified AV ecosystem designed for high-capacity, multilingual, and hybrid-enabled communication. The completed system supports in-person presentations, remote participation, live streaming, and real-time interpretation for global audiences.
Large-Scale Conference Center AV Design and Multi-Room Systems Integration
The conference center renovation included two major divisible conference spaces and a large auditorium environment for presentations and international gatherings. Ford AV implemented AV architecture that includes distributed video, centralized control, broadcast-quality production systems, and enterprise conferencing capabilities. The system suports flexible room configurations, from small roundtable discussions to large-scale global conferences.

Each space was engineered for high reliability and ease of use, ensuring complex multi-language events can be delivered with consistent technical performance across all rooms.
Auditorium AV Systems, LED Video Wall Installation, and Broadcast Production Technology
A key feature of the project is the three-story auditorium. The space functions as the primary presentation and broadcast venue for the conference center. The large-format chip-on-board LED video wall serves as the visual centerpiece of the stage, supporting presentations, live events, and global broadcasts. The display is supported by broadcast-grade video processing and switching systems to ensure content delivery across in-room and remote audiences.
The auditorium also includes Panasonic PTZ camera systems for automated production and streaming, along with a Ross video switching platform integrated into the control room environment. Audio is managed through a Yamaha digital mixing console and Q-SYS processing platform, ensuring high-quality sound reinforcement for both live and hybrid events. The lighting system was upgraded with LED theatrical fixtures, providing flexible programming for conferences, presentations, and stage productions.

Multilingual Interpretation Systems and Global Conference Communication Technology
Enrique V. Iglesias Conference Center’s advanced multilingual interpretation system supports international events involving participants from around the world. Ford AV integrated Televic simultaneous interpretation technology, enabling real-time language translation delivered wirelessly via infrared transmission to participant listening devices across the venue.
“As part of a global institution like the World Bank, this facility serves as a central hub for international meetings in Washington, D.C. One of the most impactful elements of the project was seeing how the multilingual interpretation system improved communication during international gatherings.”
— Ford AV Project Team
Dignitaries and attendees can participate fully regardless of language, making the venue a true global communication hub. This capability is essential to the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank’s mission of facilitating international collaboration and policy development.
Conference Room AV Systems, Video Walls, and Hybrid Collaboration Technology
The renovated conference center spaces feature multiple high-performance AV environments designed for educational and executive use. Ford AV installed ultra-wide Absen LED video walls as central displays within divisible conference rooms, supported by Crestron control systems. Additional large-format displays and confidence monitors provide visibility throughout flexible room configurations.

Each space uses PTZ cameras, video switching systems, and audio processing to support hybrid meetings, remote presenters, and live streaming workflows. The result is a scalable conference environment capable of supporting everything from small board meetings to multi-language international summits.
Enterprise Conference Center AV Systems Outcome and Global Impact
The completed Enrique V. Iglesias Conference Center now operates as a fully modernized, multi-purpose international conference facility supporting executive meetings, global policy discussions, hybrid events, and multilingual summits. The integrated AV systems provide communication across multiple floors and room types, enabling flexible configuration and reliable operation for high-profile global stakeholders.
The facility is an example of enterprise-scale conference center AV integration, combining broadcast production technology, multilingual communication systems, and large-format visualization into a unified platform.
