Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, partnered with Ford AV to deliver advanced audiovisual systems for Sam Walton Hall, the training, conference, and presentation facility within the company’s new 350-acre business headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas.  

AV Integration for Training Rooms, Meeting Spaces, and Video Conferencing 

Ford AV was responsible for the AV systems across the classrooms, meeting rooms, and training environments. Each training room was equipped with ceiling microphones, integrated speakers, and multiple large-format displays to create flexible, interactive learning spaces. 

The systems incorporated Poly video conferencing, Extron control systems, and Extron AV over IP solutions for high-performance video routing. Several rooms featured 25-panel Samsung video walls, while others were designed as virtual classrooms with dual large displays for hybrid learning experiences. 

Audio and control were powered by Shure ceiling array microphones, wireless microphones, and large-scale deployments of Biamp DSPs, all working within Walmart’s Zoom Rooms platform. The result was a consistent, user-friendly system that is reliable for both in-person and remote participants.

A defining moment in the project came when Walmart and the consultant team approached Ford AV with an unexpected request to take over the auditorium broadcasting system and complete the work after the previous integrator was removed. Impressed by Ford AV’s professionalism, quality of work, and transparent communication, Walmart trusted the team to step in, troubleshoot, and restore the systems to full functionality.
