Crane Needed For Audio/Video Installation
Ford Audio-Video cranes-in largest manufactured plasma display in world; technological overhaul compliments major building renovation at University of Tulsa
TULSA, OK— October 15, 2007— The University of Tulsa has completed a project that is part of a seven year campus renovation master plan. Two existing buildings were combined, Thelma Ruth Shaw Alumni Center and Whitney Hall, to create the new Collins Hall. This 35,000 square foot facility serves as the first point of contact to visitors and alumni. It houses the admissions office, financial aid and the office of the President.
Ford Audio-Video Systems, Inc. designed and installed the audio/video systems. The lobby contains an interactive multi-screen video wall and visitors can use a touch panel to access presentations highlighting campus life. The President’s board room contains all new presentation systems, audio and video conferencing and touch panel system control. The centerpiece of the boardroom AV systems was the installation of a 103” plasma display. This is the largest plasma display currently manufactured in the world and is so large that a crane was required to bring the display into the building.
